We spend last week in June and over July 4 holiday at the Grande Dunes property and it was simply the best. Starting from check in, while there were large groups, we didn't notice any impact on service. The parking is ample ($* per day self park...adds up) and the hotel was spotless. Very nice property. Rooms were clean and beds were so comfortable and appreciated after a long day of relaxing. We were treated to World Class poolside flag service (need something, raise flag pole on lounge chair and service flys over...with a fantastic smile). I attempted to throw out a cup and was told to relax, I'm not here to work. Pool slide is great for kids (and adults too..when down it many times). Two large pools in beautiful landscaping with views of ocean in certain areas, make you feel totally relaxed. Music pumped at just right volume...Jimmy Buffet kinda tunes...food was delicious. Over the 4th, Marriott put on the best party. Live music all day, poolside BBQ, contest with IPOD and free stay giveways as prizes. I'm told the beach is beautiful, and only a few feet away, but we never left poolside, we just couldn't leave this level of service with food and bevs and awesome view. There is also so much to do sooo close. The consierge desk is fantastic. Tell them what you feel like doing and their recommendations based on what you tell them you like...they will either make calls for you or give you a map to take care of rest. Our son had a birthday and when we arrived, we had a complimentary cake (Rewards Members), very nice touch. Every single employee goes out of their way to make you their #1 priority. 5 STAR!!

Me, my friend, and my mom stayed here for 3 days and absolutely loved it! It's so comfotable and everyone is so friendly. It's also a great way to relax and get away from the really busy and stressful life. The beds are so comfortable and the pools and jacuzzi's are so much fun. I espescially loved the fact that me and my friend could stay in the pool all night and just relax. I would recommend this resort to ANYONE that asks me. I'm going back VERY soon. We've already planned a trip to myrtle beach for the summer and we kno exactly where we are staying.

My husband and I went to Myrtle Beach in May. We stayed at teh Marriott Myrtle Beach Resort.We absolutely loved it!! The pool was great!!! The beach was awesome!! We liked that the hotel was away from most of the other hotels along the beach. This made it quieter. The room was beautiful. We were upgraded to a partial ocean view when we checked in. We didn't even have to ask!! The staff was very friendly. The price of this holel wasn't too high. We would definitely go back!

The three pools, two hot tubs, water slide, and short walk to the beach sold my kids on this hotel. The room was clean and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room safe didn't lock and the TV remote didn't work upon arriving. Staff resolved these issues quickly by swapping out the safe and bringing a new TV remote within 10 minutes of our reporting the problem and then they left chocolate golf balls for the kids as a "sorry for your troubles". We didn't like that the fridge was very small and there was no microwave, breakfast was not included, and that you have to pay for internet access. We were told we could try to bring our laptop into the lobby to see if we could find free wire-less access but we didn't bother to try.
